Ms. Williams Muir — of greater worth than gold.... — 1 Peter 1:7 (TNIV)

Though life has many wonderful things to offer — beautiful creation, meaningful relationships, personal pleasures, humor — I believe that a right relationship with God multiplies joy and sustains through sadness and hardship. Jesus said,

I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. — John 10:10 (TNIV)

I also believe that though the love from those around us is precious, God's love is infinitely greater and steadier than any human love we can experience. How can we know God's love for us? The Bible speaks often of God's love in verses like these:

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. — Romans 5:8 (TNIV)

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. — John 3:16 (KJV)

God gave the gift for us to have a close relationship with Him: Jesus Christ, His Son, died and paid for all of our sins. If we believe and accept this sacrifice, we can freely come to God without guilt or fear.

Finally, God wants this relationship with you. Jesus said,

Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with them, and they with me. — Revelation 3:20 (TNIV)

Opening the door is the best decision I've ever made. Please feel free to contact me with questions or comments about my faith.
